I chose to do this assignment that I found on Pinterest. I chose it because I thought it looked cool and looked challenging but not impossible. I thought about making a lantern out of spoons or a necklace but I decided to do the mirror because it looked easier and better then the lantern or the necklace. I chose to paint the spoons yellow because I wanted to see how it would look in a color other then blue. I still made it dark to light similar to the original mirror.
I didn't have as many problems as I thought I would with this project. My biggest problem with this project was all of the measurements of the circles. The measuring and cutting of the circles was also the longest part of the project. Another big problem I had was trying to equally space out all of the spoons. I actually messed up on the outside spoons and some are unequal but you can only see it if you look very closely so it isn't very noticeable.
Overall it was by far my best project of the year. I didn't expect it to turn out anywhere near as well as it did. It was also the longest project of the year. However it was well worth it and I am very pleased on how well it turned out. I only wish that I would have been more careful when glueing the spoons to make sure they were evenly spaced out. Other then that I think it turned out great. Big thanks to Caleb Basney for helping me cut spoons and paint and also Taylor Schultz for helping mix the paint.
